Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist's OHM: Schedules Live Dates

July 12, 2007

OHM:, the project led by former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland, has scheduled the following dates:

Jul. 27 - The Baked Potato - Studio City, CA (2 sets - 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.)
Aug. 03 - Alva's Performance Hall - San Pedro, CA (2 sets - start at 8:00 p.m.)
Aug. 11 - Tone Merchants - Orange, CA (start 8:30 p.m.)

OHM: is hard at work on its third studio effort, due later in the year. According to a press release, the new material is being described as "slightly heavier, but still very much still uniquely OHM:" Songtitles set to appear on the as-yet-untitled CD include "Circus of Sound", "DD214", "Leap of Faith", "The Black Hand", "YDK", "Steps from Home", "Pan" and "Mr. Brown".

On May 25, Lion Music released Chris Poland's "Return to Metalopolis – Live", a live recording from the 1991 tour to support Poland's legendary instrumental heavy metal recording "Return to Metalopolis" (1990, Enigma Records). Mark Poland (Chris Poland's brother) plays drums and David Randi (who later joined Poland's 1993 project DAMN THE MACHINE) are featured on the live recording. The live release is a chance for the fans of the metal side of Chris Poland's playing to hear him on his first solo tour after leaving MEGADETH. This release will also contain unreleased live and studio material from Poland's archives, not to mention a live enhanced video of his band OHM: performing a reworked version of the classic "Return to Metalopolis" track "Alexandria".
